Porto Alegre, one of the largest cities in Brazil, is the capital city of Rio Grande do Sul. Porto Alegre is one of the most important cities of Southern Brazil, being a cultural, political and economical center. Porto Alegre has^ the best standard of living of all Brazilian capitals and it was the only Brazilian city listed^ on Jones Lang LaSalle's World Winning Cities. It�s also the home of world wide famous football clubs Gr�mio and Internacional.

• Sunset: Porto Alegre has a beautiful sunset over its main river, Guaíba. Best enjoyed on the western side at places like Gasômetro and Ipanema. Beware that this event lasts about five minutes only. If you go up to level 5 of Gasômetro building, you can have a broader view of the sunset. During the winter (around july), it is recommended to take additional clothes, because the wind can be stronger.
• Santuário Mãe de Deus, Rua do Santuário 400, Bairro Cascata : A beautiful church almost unknown by most . It is placed in an great location, with nice views of Porto Alegre and nearby cities landscapes. Built in 1992, it has a modern architecture and engineering, designed to support the strong winds of the location. It is somewhat difficult to get to this place, for there are no buses near and a cab ride from downtown would be pricey. However, if you rent a car in Porto Alegre, it's worth trying.
• Usina do Gasômetro
• MARGS, Praça da Alfândega, Downtown, phone (51) 3227-2311, (, ), : The local Museum of Art. Open from Tuesdays to Sundays, from 10am to 7pm. There's a permanent collection and an area that is often receiving new exhibitions. There's also a and a store that sells art books and souvenirs. Admission is free.
• Museu de Ciências e Tecnologia da PUC, Av. Ipiranga 6681, Building #40, phone (51) 3320.3597 : It is open from Tuesdays to Sundays, from 9am to 5pm. Admission is 10 reais (7 reais for children under 12, seniors, university students and professors).
• Praça de Shiga:
• Moinhos de Vento Park - Known by locals as , this is a pleasant park with a neat lake and jogging runways.

Guess what? 1. Narizinho: cat born on my street in 2004, daughter of Manchinha, I could never rescue her (she always ran out) 2. Wednesday: lots of rain in my city, Narizinho with a huge belly following me, I was late for work and had no hope to rescue her, so I went to work... 3. Thursday night: I am feeding the stray cats, she appears... thin! oh gosh where are her babies? 4. Oh, ok, there they are! Third time she gaves birth on a very easy place, but the other times she didn't let me get her, all the babies disappearing, my heart was bronken 5. But this time I have a different plan, I'll rescue her FIRST, I will hide the transportation cage and try to get her. 6. Oh, I have no wet food at home, let's see, maybe this smelly dry food? 7. Wow, it's a miracle, it worked, I managed to put her into the cage... 8. Now.. the kittens. There they are, on the other side of this tall fence... it is a commercial building and no one is here... 9.So I decided to ask for help, ask for a neighbor to help me with that... 10. I run, put Narizinho on my bathroom, get a box for the babies. 11. The man who was helping me sees the fence is too tall, so he jumps it, ok, where are the cats? he uses a light from the cel phone to locate them, put one, two, six in the box! 12. Narizinho and her children reunited on my bathroom, finaly!

This year Goku got sick, he had something in his eyes... He was getting all my attentions, and Toji and Chihiro were also treating him the best they could. Lua, however, got jealous with all attention he was receiving, and decided to ignore him. But Lua'is Goku's love, his sister, from whom he was never apart. He was very upset about being rejected by her. So I took her for a conversation, told her that she could not do that to him, that she needed to be supportive, he was in pain, and that's why everybody was treating him like this. To my surprise, after meditating a little (she always takes her time when we talk) she got close to him and started to clean his eyes... I couldn't just believe in what was happening, and here is the picture of this story for you!

The day of her rescue. She was three weeks old. All scared, hidden between cardboard boxes... I could not leave hear alone that she started to cry. Poor little thing! At that time, I could never suspect she would become such an energetic and crazy cat! She's got a real lust for life!
