Port Angeles is a city in Clallam County, Washington, United States. The population was 18,397 at the 2000 census.- the largest on the Olympic Peninsula. It is the county seat of Clallam County^GR6. The area's harbor was dubbed Puerto de Nuestra Seņora de los Angeles (Port of Our Lady of the Angels) by Spanish explorer Francisco Eliza in 1791, but by the mid-1800s the name had been shortened and partially Anglicized to its current form.

8th Street Bridge

We have two of these wooden trestle bridges in town. Both known as the 8th street bridge. The city is replacing both with concrete so they will soon be gone. While I've driven over these most of my life. I don't think I've ever gone below and really looked up at them before. Thought I better do so before they are just memories. Valley street view. Originally built in 1913 and replaced in 1936. So I guess they are due. www.cityofpa.us/bridges.htm
