On friday may 2nd our friend Amarú Mago took us to watch the Fura dels Baus show in commemoration of the 200 years of may 2nd 1808. That date represents the sublevation on Madrid people to the French Empire in 1808 and the years further. Fura dels Baus is a street theatre company from Catalunya. Photographer: Rafael Mendez (Barcelona, Spain / Caracas, Venezuela). Location: Madrid. Date: from may 2nd to may 5th 2008. Irene and me went to Madrid to assist to the premier in Spain of a documentary in which she was the writer and direction assistant. The documentary is called For Them (Por mis Hijos), directed by our friend Aymee Cruzalegui. The piece just won some festival recognition including the second place in Documenta Madrid. This are pics form my visit to Madrid this opportunity.

Sunday was great because we went to the documentary premier and after it watched the Real Madrid's match. That night Real Madrid achieved the Spain Championship.... so i insisted to go to the Cibeles' Fountain to celebrate the achievement with the fans. The fountain depicts the goddess Cybele, the symbol of earth, agriculture and fertility, on a chariot drawn by lions, and was designed by Ventura Rodríguez in the reign of Charles III of Spain. Фонтанът показва богинята Сибела, символ на земята, селското стопанство и плодородието. Тя е на колесница, дърпана от лъвове. Архитектът на фонтана е Вентура Родригес от времето на Каролс III.
