Playa Blanca (spanisch „weißer Strand“), ehemals ein beschauliches Fischerdorf, ist heute das drittgrößte Touristenzentrun im Süden der Kanareninsel Lanzarote. Man zählt 6.235 Einwohner (Stand: Januar 2005). Es wurde versucht den Dorfcharakter trotz vieler touristischer Einrichtungen zu erhalten. Vom Hafen aus gibt es eine Fährverbindung der Reederei Lineas Fred. Olsen nach Corralejo auf der Nachbarinsel Fuerteventura. Die Überfahrt dauert etwa eine halbe Stunde. Satellite view

Dropped the bags in the hotelroom and we went out for a drink and a meal. The food went down rather fast, so we were stuck with this view when we were sipping that nice and cold beer...
