St. Vitus Cathedral - Prague

Saint Vitus's Cathedral in Prague is one of my favorite in Europe (so far). The construction was done in two parts and the colors of the blocks show the age of the older parts well. The oldest part dates back to 1344, but it wasn't completed until the 1920s! The front of the Gothic Cathedral is the newer part and to represent the new age, the architects who finished the building had busts of themselves in modern day dress placed underneath the outside of the Rose window shown here. It's amazing that this cathedral took 600 years to finish, but here it is in all it's glory in St. Wenceslas Square.

This is a wooden church originally from eastern Slovakia from the Ukrainian (Rusyn/Carpatho-Rusyn) minority living there. It was moved to this park in Prague during the times of Czechoslovakia.
