25/365 what's in my bag?

While I was cleaning(sooo many things in my bag are misplaced eg, the raybans and hong kong transportation card)/packing my bag for school tomorrow (rotation day so the schedule is all weird, we're having all 8 of our classes instead of the normal 4) and thinking about what i should upload today. I remember seeing some whats in my bag around flickr and I normally don't carry a purse or bag or things like that when i hang out or go shopping with friends, so i just did one with my school bag. i actually really enjoyed doing this! i found so many things i thought i lost :) and yes! i took my math test and i feel pretty confident about it, but everytime i think i did fine, i end up getting a really bad score. and I got tagged by empress jacqueline (i feel so stupid but can someone teach me how to like, link in my descriptions?) 1. i usually don't know what to say when people ask me where i'm from. i was born in canada, my family's cantonese but i've lived in shanghai all my life. 2. sorry, i hate coffee :( 3. a lot of people WILL disagree with me, but i dont think taylor lautner's hot. loll but chace crawford is when he doesnt have stubbles. 4. i loove the fruit durian 5. i probably have a lot of habits but i can only think of a few, touching my hair a lot D: slouching and making my toothbrush wet before i put the toothpaste on 6. sunny places > cold places 7. i'm trying to learn how to do a 5x5 rubiks cube. i'm really not a nerd or anything but it's always useful to know little tricks like that :) 8. i wish i was good at the violin and flute, but i play piano and clarinet.. 9. GUM'S MY ONLY ADDICTION oh and of course tumblr. 10. i was inlove with the song rocketeer by far east movement awhile ago, until i overplayed it and its not that good anymore. I HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS.

I still can't believe 2010 is over. It feels like just yesterday when I was over at my friend's house counting down for 2010. 2010 was a very eventful year, both good and bad things happened, and I regret for not capturing all those moments, and sharing them. So I've decided to start my 365 over again, 1/365 being january 1st and ending on december 31st 2011. This is going to be hard and few people have managed to pull through. I can't imagine how they felt after they finished this year long project, but it's probably the best feeling; its a feeling of not giving up. I'm going to push myself to take a picture per day. This project is mostly for me, so I can remember this year and every single unique day when I turn like, 40 or something, but I'm grateful for your feedbacks as well. (they's actually what keeps me going) :) except i'll be in hong kong for the next week (probably no laptop) so they'll be on a week later. :(

what's on your desk? yay i'm caught up noww still uninspired so i started a tag. pardon the messiness, i already tried cleaning it before i took this picture :D if you're tagged, do it do it pleaaase :) *i sometimes feel like im bothering people if i tag them. i understand that some people don't like being tagged, so if you're one of them, feel free to tell me and i wont ever tag you again. i just got a call from hong kong.. my grandma's in the hospital. apparently this vessel in her heart is clogged so she had trouble breathing and she fainted (i'm not entirely sure right now :( ) but it'd mean so much to me and my family if you all prayed for her. also, please pray for the victims in the korea flood, china train crash, and the shooting in norway.

Is it me or is that a stock chart banner hanging over the building? You can also see the bear being defeated in the ground by the bull. The rat on the right is cheering for the bull. It really didn't seem to go with the scene. You know even the ordinary Chinese households are invested in the stock market when you can see banner like this. .

The Haitong Securities Building is one of the most underrated towers in Shanghai, in my opinion. It stands near People's Square, close to Raffles City and The Shimao Tower. Taking this photo I was inspired by , taken by the ridiculously skilled ürßån╒áßriç (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ninjatune/).

There are a lot of lotuses at the People's Park, Shanghai. It was a good opportunity to shoot them after the rain. Lotus means a lot in Chinese tradition, and its root is a very delicious dish as well.
