Pristanište i pijaca na kojoj se u srednjem veku trgovalo žitom. Gent i Biž su gradovi u kojima se evropski kapitalizam prvo ispilio. Gent je imao monopol na trgovinu žitom koje se rekom Šeldom prevozilo tačno do ovog mesta. Old port and grain market. European capitalism was born in cities of Brugge and Ghent. Tek kad se ispentraš na vrh shvatiš zašto je ova kula bila toliko bitna. Flandrija je ravna ko tepsija. Odavde se maltene vide Pariz i Amsterdam. Only when you climb all the way to the top you really realize what was such abig deal about this tower. You can practically see Amsterdam and Paris from up here.
