Passu is a small village beside the Khunjrab river, some 15KM from Gulmit, the Tehsil Headquarter of Gojal in the Northern Areas of Pakistan. The famous Batura glacier is situated here, beside the Karakoram Highway. The people are Wakhi and speak the Wakhi Language. Religiously they are Ismaili, a sect of Islam. (...)

Waiting for a bus, we met a shopkeeper and his two friends, sitting around having a chat. The people up in the North were very friendly and always interested in where we were from. The name of his store (behind) was 'Harrods'. www.digidrift.com

If you come to Passu. It's really delicious, taste it. in Glacier Breeze restaurant. But , prepare enough Rups. and if you order hot dishes, be prepared to wait for an hour.
