Il Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, noto anche come Palazzo della Civiltà del Lavoro o semplicemente Colosseo Quadrato è uno dei simboli dell'EUR, quartiere di Roma, ed è considerata come l'icona architettonica del Novecento romano e modello esemplare della monumentalità del quartiere. È quel neoclassicismo semplificato di Marcello Piacentini, che è il coordinatore della commissione per E42, che si impone sul Razionalismo italiano di Giuseppe Pagano, Adalberto Libera e Giovanni Michelucci, anch'essi tra i progettisti del nuovo quartiere.
