16th August 2007: Macbeth at The Open Air Theatre, Redux
Made by Matthew Armstrong
When the Open Air Theatre have to cancel a performance, they don't give you your money back (I guess they wouldn't have stayed in business for the last 75 years if they did) but they do let you use your tickets again for a future performance... So, as there's only a few more weeks of this year's run to go (and as there was only one more performance of Macbeth to go) we decided to try again... And I was very glad we did. This time we made it to the end. We may have been cold, but we were definitely dry.

So who would have thought that trying to watch Shakespeare in the open air in the middle of summer in London would be a bad idea? We tried to watch Macbeth at the Open Air Theatre, but sadly they managed only part of the first act before the actors were called from the stage and we all retreated to the pub.
