The Marine Midland Building (also HSBC Bank Building) is a 52-story office building located at 140 Broadway in Manhattan's financial district. The building, completed in 1967, is 688 ft (209.7 m) tall and is known for the distinctive sculpture at its entrace, Isamu Noguchi's Cube. The building was built by Marine Midland Bank, which was purchased by HSBC in 1980. Today it is known by both names, but is more often referred to by its older name to distinguish it from the other HSBC Buildings.
Ground Zero

This is Ground Zero or former site of the World Trade Center Towers. It was an odd sight to see for two things. One, 9-11 is a defining moment in current US history that everywhere you go now, there are monuments to remember the event. Two, life does move on. It becomes another part of the landscape being transformed by the people around. NY was marked by 9-11 but it does not define the city.
