BMW World
Made by Philipp Klinger Photography
View On Black Info BMW Welt (English - BMW World), is a multi-functional customer experience and exhibition facility of the BMW AG, located in Munich, Germany. In direct proximity to the BMW Headquarters and the Olympiapark, it is designed to present the current products of BMW, be a distribution center for BMW cars, and offer an event forum and a conference center. Designed by architects Coop Himmelb(l)au for BMW Group, the facility was constructed from August 2003 through Summer 2007. Originally conceived to be open and ready for World Cup 2006, it eventually opened on October 17, 2007 and deliveries commenced on October 23, 2007. The first customer to take delivery of a new BMW at the Welt was Jonathan Spira. Designed with an 800 kilowatt solar plant on its roof, the building does not have the boredom of a hall, it is not only a temple, but also a market place and a communication center and meeting place for knowledge transfer, said architect Prix at the opening ceremony. Technique/Processing DRI made from 2 exposures - one for the sky, one for the building. Colors are not processed - the building changes it's colors every 15 seconds

SUPERMOON over Munich
Made by hipydeus
Today i went out for another moon shooting with a masterplan. I planned to find a good point of view with the help of Star Walk, a cool iPhone App that was supposed to show me the exact position of moonrise. 15 min before it i took a quick HDR shot of our ugly cityscape, and i thought i just need to wait for the moon to be in the right position to take a nice exposed picture of the moon. But this f.....g App, was about 80m wrong. So i packed my gear, ran and stumbled through the night on that dark hill in Olympiapark, Munich to find another spot. The good thing was, i was freezing no more, the bad thing, there where trees everywhere (first time that i hated trees). But finally i found one, the moon was ok placed near the buildings and later i composed the HDR with the moon shot. Since the moon was taken from a slightly different position, i guess one can say this is fake. Ok, but no one can say i didn't give my best. This problem would not occur if they finally develop a camera with infinite dynamic range!

must seen in after a rock-concert in Olympic Stadium, the Olympic park was bright illuminated. The Olympiapark in Munich, Germany, is an Olympic Park which was constructed for the 1972 Summer Olympics. Found in the area of Munich known as the Oberwiesenfeld (upper meadow-field), the Park continues to serve as a venue for cultural, social, and religious events. History After 1945, the Oberwiesenfeld area remained fallow, and was known as a Trümmerberg, which in German refers to a hill erected from the ruins caused by the destruction caused by bombings during the war II. After WW II large amounts of debris from Munich, and other locales, were transported and stored here. ready to be destroyed
Made by SophieMuc
as you can see, the bungalows in the former Olympic Village on Munich are ready for destruction... the scratches on the walls are from the digger which is a bit too big for the litte alleys.. of course it's prohibited to go back to the construction/destruction area... and now I know why... I was there in this specific alley and only looked left and right on the walls and almost fell into the hole, which should not be there... man, I was so shocked... I only stopped by chance because my friend was taking pictures and when I looked down I saw that if I had walked one step further I would have fallen about 5 feet down :(

THE MINI EFFECT
Made by plaggenplei
the basic idea: the mini effect shall chance a regular landscape or urban photo into a miniature world impression by adding a blur effect and other detailed adjustments. after showing you a lot of , here i want to present a before-after comparison. so i hope you can see that the manipulation is very intensive! i want to underline with my manipulation that the lightning effects and color-effects mustn't be forgotten. they are very important to opitmize the impression of the mini-view :) thanks for watching! i love fake minis, so spread the idea!

View On Black - - - explore The Double Cone which protrudes prominently from the entire building acts as a powerful and dynamic eye-catcher. The cyclone made of glass and steel, winding upwards, ending in the roof which is suspended freely, floating just like a cloud, is created by a dynamic deformation of the two girder layers and constitutes one of the main supporting points of the roof.

An die Freude Freude, schöner Götterfunken, Tochter aus Elysium, Wir betreten feuertrunken Himmlische, dein Heiligtum. Deine Zauber binden wieder, Was die Mode streng geteilt; Alle Menschen werden Brüder, Wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt. Seid umschlungen, Millionen! Diesen Kuss der ganzen Welt! Brüder—überm Sternenzelt Muss ein lieber Vater wohnen. (Friedrich Schiller) ...taken at the BMW Center... Munich, Germany...

A shot from my short trip to Munich. This is a video control camera of the BMW World next to the Olympiapark. B&W conversion with Lightroom 3 and some corrections in Photoshop. Maybe i should 'clean' the wall? Comments of all sorts are - as always - highly appreciated! If you want any of my pictures in big size (e.g. for a Wallpaper) - feel free to ask me!
