Pilot Officer A.J. Damm, RAAF of Charters Towers, Queensland, Australia, lies in Dalnottar Cemetery, Clydebank, Scotland. He was killed in the final weeks of the Second World War in Europe, he and his six fellow crew members from 466 Squadron were returning from a bombing mission over Hamburg, Germany. On return to their base at RAF Driffield, Yorkshire, they encountered thick fog and their Halifax bomber LW172 crashed into trees 2 miles west of the airfield, killing all on board.
