novi vinodolski, croatia... the town where my aunt (tetka) lepa's summer home is...she lives 2 blocks from the adriatic sea...the croatian coast is one of the most beautiful places on the entire planet and i recommend that everyone go visit it once in their lifetime. i can't even begin to describe how incredible and content i felt with life and the world and everything else in between...i'll post a picture of the town tomorrow. on one of my exploration walks i stumbled upon a field of old boats run aground on the edge of a tributary...the sun baked painted wood and layers of rust had such intense colouring i sat there in awe for a full hour, pure being and bliss. the effects of nature on man-made objects makes me hopeful for her recovery. she is stronger than us. i don't understand why people deny that and endelessly try to manipulate and control...their ulterior motives once acted upon wreak havoc on us all...they do not care what they do to us, but they are unaware of what they do to themselves. too blind to see the connections they will continue, gathering the mindless masses with them by giving a false sense of security...the blind leading the blind into invisible darkness...


Clouds over Velebit mountain

During a full moon and a very strong bura wind (known in the photo only because the Velebit mountain has a crown of clouds). A rarely photographed event at night I was really glad to capture. This is the spot in Europe with the strongest winds (and some of the strongest in the world) with gusts of up to 250 km/h or 154 mph measured, often reputed to be much stronger, because the measuring station is too high on Velebit where the wind hasn't really picked up its maximum speed.
