60014 SILVER LINK at Neville Hill shed Leeds 17th December 1961. This was the first A4 to enter service on 7th September 1935 as No 2509 one of the original four built for the Silver Jubilee train. She was withdrawn on 29th December 1962 and scrapped at Doncaster Works (her birthplace) in August 1963. She was also the last A4 I travelled behind between London Kings Cross and Leeds Central, in May 1962.
