There was a flat stretch of roof on the sides of this airplane hanger, about three stories up. It looked like any other rubber roof -- flat, gray, whatever. But when I got to the top of the ladder and put my foot out to step on it, I realized that years of disuse allowed water to pour down the curved part and go right underneath the flat roof. The result was a giant waterbed, rippling out at the slightest touch. Needless to say, in my quest to , I didn't venture across.
