On his way to work, Toronto Mayor David Miller greets admirers in front of City Hall. After he moved-on, these kids jumped around, as excited to run into him as if he were a movie star. The fact that he stopped and spent time to talk (while his aides waited patiently) meant everything to them. I hope that one of these girls remembers this, is inspired, and decides to run for office herself. Perhaps she'll be one of the very few brave enough to make some real change.

(But little did they know that I stayed up in my room to watch Moonlighting every Tuesday night until 10:00pm, with the volume down way low.
