Boeing C-135A Stratotanker

Commonly known as the Vomit Comet or Weightless Wonder this particular plane, a Boeing C-135A, started out life in 1963 as an US Air Force aerial tanker, but was used in NASA's microgravity experiments until retirement in 2004. It is currently on display at the Pima Air Museum in Arizona (EHVB 24 November 1995).

Vought F-8 Crusader

The Crusader was one of the first true supersonic carrier-based fighter aircraft, designed in the mid 50's. It saw extensive service in the Vietnam war. Although the last US Navy Crusader was retired in 1982, the French Navy continued operating them until 2000 (EHVB 05 June 1992).
