Afterward, we drove into Amsterdam again. We had a brief tour of a diamond factory and then we were sprung loose for the rest of the day. I went to the Van Gogh Museum and then the Heineken Brewery although some people went the Anne Frank House (and I'm pretty sure there were some people on the tour who went to coffee shops...). I thought the Van Gogh Museum was pretty good. (I think a few people felt it was too art gallery and not enough museum, but I would be tempted to disagree on that point as there were letters written by Van Gogh, photos, books, etc. and the displays were of a reasonable detail). I don't have any photos of the museum (no photos inside) and the outside is just a nondescript brown building. The photo above is the back of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam's large art gallery and one of the more famous art galleries in the World. I don't recall anyone on the tour visiting it, however. (We really only had the afternoon in Amsterdam and I think the Van Gogh Museum filled most people's appetite for art).

This is the exit of a carpark on the Museumplein in Amsterdam. It reminds me of a snail.
