HIGHEST FLICKR EXPLORE RANKING: 81 The Leonard P Zakim-Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge carrying Interstate 93 into central Boston, glimpsed from underneath the arches of the neighbouring Charles River Dam Bridge. Completed in 2003, the ponderously-titled bridge - its name is possibly longer than its actual length - is the most recognisable and visual symbol of Boston's 'Big Dig' highway construction project. Hardly surprising really, seeing most of the rest of the Big Dig was (as its name suggests) comprised of tunnels, and therefore tucked away neatly underground...
