The Roman Mosque

Located on the edge of central Rome, near the Campi Sportivi sports facilities, the Rome mosque consist of a 2500-pax prayer hall (for Fridays and festivals) and a smaller 150-pax hall for daily use. Designed by both an Italian (Portoghesi) and Iranian architect (Mousawi), the mosque was quiet that Sunday, save for the Moroccan caretaker who taught me the shorter way to get to the city center.
