The team of drivers Bas Herweijer and Mike van Eikeren and technician Pierre Statz of a Toyota RAV4 was very disappointed when they heared in Lisboa the Dakar Rally 2008 was cancelled because of terrorist threats. Once back in the dutch village Mookhoek they can understand the decision to cancel the Dakar Rally, however it took them almost 2 years of preparation.
