I don't have many brushes with fame, but the other day I was waiting for a bus when who should walk by but JOSH KORNBLUTH, celebrated Public Broadcasting System raconteur. Though no doubt such behavior is frowned upon by such paparazzi-rattled stars, I couldn't help but to furtively snap this photograph with my phone. Those streaky rainbowy shafts of light may be lens flare caused by the setting sun, or they may be a result of Josh's dazzling wit and insight.

This graffiti / mural was at 17th and Alabama in San Francisco. The animal shelter was a few blocks away, and on certain days you could hear a lot of dogs barking when you were standing in front of this artwork.
