1679 US Hwy 395 N #B, Minden, Nevada Official NEVADA haircut, November 9, 2007 To celebrate my 30th birthday, I took a trip to Reno. Minden is south of Reno, just across the mountains from Lake Tahoe. Wild Hair Barbers is located just off US Hwy 395 N in a strip mall. The barber shop has two chairs, with both barbers there. There is a customer bench and three auditorium-style seats. The barber shop is fairly plain, although a median separates the two chairs. Doc is a hunter, and has a mounted deer head on the wall next to his mirror and above the square counter. The deer is wearing a hat, “Sure You Can Take My Gun, But the Bullet First.” There are salon products for sale, and automotive magazines for reading. Three customers were there and Doc discussed Thanksgiving plans with everyone. Doc cut my hair, as well as my eyebrows and a touch-up of my nose hairs (the first time that’s happened). The overall experience was good, but not spectacularly memorable. I paid $15 for the haircut.
