A 974 second exposure for this star trail taken at Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park. Canon Digital Rebel, 16mm Zenitar fisheye, ISO 100. The campfire light nearby illuminated the trees. Depression Marsh is a small swampy body of water that was once part of Big Lake Johnson. Because of years of extreme drought and no doubt local water use, Big Lake Johnson is reduced to several smaller swampy ponds.

I guess if rainfall were normal in this part of Florida, the lake would be full to the trees. It is reduced to a puddle. The floor of the lake is littered with humate rocks and pebbles.
