Michigan Central Station
Michigan Central Station (also known as Michigan Central Depot or MCS), built in 1913 for the Michigan Central Railroad, was Detroit, Michigan's passenger rail depot from its opening in 1913, when the previous Michigan Central Station burned, until the last Amtrak train pulled away from the station on January 6, 1988. The building, located in the Corktown district of Detroit near Tiger Stadium and the Ambassador Bridge about two miles southwest of downtown Detroit, still stands today, though it remains unoccupied. Reports of restoration projects and plans have gone as far as the negotiation process, but none have come to fruition. Restoration of the historic Book-Cadillac Hotel and the Michigan Central Station are seen important projects for the economic development of the City of Detroit.Top photos chosen by u all:

MCS (Michigan Central Station)....A look into the Abandoned Train Station on Michigan Ave, this station used to be the road into the city...Ford Motor company bought out the cities public transportation and the station soon stopped passenger trains...a few years later the station closed...the station has fallen into bad times...from scrappers to people just breaking stuff the whole building is really showing time...so sad...I wish I could go back in time to see, walk and feel what this place once looked like.
