a city in transit
Made by William Couch
How is it that one city did in four days what another couldn't in four months? Sometimes, I feel like the gentleman in the black suit, with his briefcase at his feet. Other times, I feel like the people passing by, whom you barely notice. I wish I'd gotten more video of people moving through the city. Kind of limited, but reasonably happy with what I did get. Photos from the rest of the NYC trip forthcoming... In your ears: Sigur Rós - Straumnes

New York in Blue - Grand Central
Made by Steve Castle
I've been revisiting some old shots (this is also an excuse for not having taken any new ones...). I came across some of my old New York pics and decided to make them look a bit more gritty and noir, rather than the bright happy holiday snaps they originally were! Just by changing the saturation and the colour temperature got me these. Its also around this time that I miss the Big Apple cos we haven't been since last September. It's easily my favourite city. See where this picture was taken.

Grand Central Terminal (GCT, often unofficially called Grand Central Station) is a terminal rail station at 15 Vanderbilt Avenue (42nd Street and Park Avenue) in Midtown Manhattan in New York City. Built by the New York Central Railroad (for which it was named) in the heyday of American long-distance passenger trains, it is the largest train station in the world by number of platforms: 44, with 67 tracks along them. They are on two underground levels, with 41 tracks on the upper level and 26 on the lower.
