april is not over, but the white sox are 5 games up on the twins and have the best record in all of baseball. as colin notes... if they play 500 ball the rest of the way they will have over a 90 win season. konerko with his fist in the air makes this picture for me. this is a great *team*. tonight i enjoyed john garland shout out the a's in a 4 hit complete game masterpiece. since i have lived in the bay area i have seen them play a lot in the colliseum and the sox are something like 2-19 or something close to that. i have seen them lose a LOT in oakland. it was incredibly nice to see them win this game with conviction and a bit of swagger... this one is for you, cy... aren't they wonderful... chicago white sox... winners of the ALDS and much more to follow!! orlando hernandez and jose contreras these are the two heroes of the series, our cuban pitchers... el duque and jose contreras. in game 1, contreras pitched an absolutely masterful game and THEN, in game three, i do not think i have EVER seen anything as clutch as what orlando hernandez did. no outs, bases loaded, bottom of the sixth, in fenway... he pitches us out of the jam and boston gets nothing!! absolutely amazing... absolutely awesome. this is THE single best white sox team i have ever seen. (and that's joe crede running in behind them... the owner of some extremely CLUTCH hitting down the stretch) aren't they wonderful!!!

Curse the Gods, and thank the Gods. This is the last frame before my old MicroDrive started to fail, the second time around for this card in its 4 yr long lifespan.... Luckily the SmartRecovery software from convar.com worked out. It could a disaster without any shots from inside the Coliseum..
