Mazzorbo
Mazzorbo is an island in the northern Venetian Lagoon, linked to Burano by a bridge. It was once an important trading centre but is now known for its vineyards and orchards. Its main attraction is the fourteenth century Church of Santa Caterina, and there is also a brightly painted housing development, designed in 1979 by Giancarlo De Carlo.Top photos chosen by u all:

just northeast of Venice and a thirty minute ferry ride is the small island of Burano. Burano is known for two things; their intricate hand-made lace, although most of that is now made elsewhere and imported in for the tourists, and for their brightly painted buildings. i didn't care too much for the lace but the latter, as you can see in these three pictures, didn't disappoint. the entire town was a photo-op, waiting to be captured by the lens.
