This shot was taken after a couple of hours of shooting D.L. hughley's comedy show. The night before, we attended his show and Tracy had a brilliant idea that we should present D.L. with one of my framed photos of Miami as a gift to him for the humor and happiness he brought to us over the years. He appreciated the gesture so much that he asked me to shoot his show the following night. We agreed! I arrived 30 minutes earlier and shot almost 400 images from when D.L. arrived, to before taking the stage, and all through his act - until this last shot of him with the two of us. It was my first REAL gig as a photographer. And I appreciated it immensely! D.L. is a CLASS ACT and an awesome guy. Down to earth and full of wisdom! And EXTREMELY HILARIOUS too!
