Orangenparterre, Galeriegebäude & Neptunbrunnen
Made by Doblonaut

walking the dog
Made by sediama
walking the dog Georgengarten was laid out in the 19th century as a landscape garden in the English style, with sweeping views across wide lawns and tranquil ponds framed by carefully-placed noble trees and copses, and typical landmarks such as the Classical temple memorial to Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz set on a peninsula in the main lake. The focal point of Georgengarten is the idyllically-situated Georgenpalais, a former royal residence that today houses the Wilhelm Busch Museum - German Museum of Caricature and Critical Graphic Art. The palace garden is particularly worth visiting. Through Georgengarten, the Herrenhäuser Allee, laid out in 1726 with four rows of lime trees, runs for two kilometres from Hannover city centre past the Welfenschloss palace to the Grosser Garten.

Spring-Pink

Well, this is a first. My first ever upload that was made from a RAW-file. I'm pretty sure it's not perfect but at the moment I'm pleased with the result. My thanks go to and joerg who were both trying to convince me to shoot RAW and use proper editing software for quite some time. Yes, you were right. It is amazing, you can do a lot of things with it and the files are certainly less compressed than .jpgs. You knew that, I know. :o) You all might like this one on black/in the light box.

lines and curves

The Hannover-Nordstadt suburban railway station was the first of nine built on the new line to the Expo grounds. The entrance and stairs are a flat plate, pierced by the lift cylinder. The platforms and supports are of blue pigmented pre-cast exposed concrete sections. The skin of the building is of prefabricated glass block and concrete panels. Göritz uses blue glass blocks, saying the building is visible as a cool crystal at daytime and a shining latern at night.

Winter's gate

Brrr, a lot of snow yesterday. After walking around the park and the christmas market, my right index finger was completely numb. It's not easy to press the shutter when you don't feel anything. At the end of my walk the snow did not even melt any more on the camera...How do you guys in the northern regions keep your hands warm?? Took the first picture with my TLR today - a portrait of a cute little pony that lives near my house :) Curious how it will look...

KISS ME !!!

PS. Nicht gekropt, nur zum Quadrat geschnitten. __________________________________ ... the frogs were now totally in heat and restraint could be photographed even easily ... :-) the frog was staring not at me, but his love interest!

Autumn bench

Who actually invented that garbage cans are always right next to parc benches?! Here you can see the uncropped Brenizer panorama (15 shots @ 50m, f/2.8) and enjoy the trash cans' beauty ;) My photoshop skills aren't good enough to clone that out... Hope everybody had a good start in the week :)

Walk... but stay attentive!
Made by yART photography
There are so many beautiful things around you - because of this you should value every day of life! There are some situations in life - dispensable at first sight - but you should appreciate the importance of every single one! But believe in me: there are only a few people who are adorable!! and you should stay attentive - otherwise you'll not notice...

Large on Black Youth is like spring, an over praised season more remarkable for biting winds than genial breezes. Autumn is the mellower season, and what we lose in flowers we more than gain in fruits. Samuel Butler

Goldenes Tor, Herrenhäuser Garten
Made by Glücksklee
I tried to develop an uncommon view of the Golden Gate the emblem of the Herrenhäuser Garden. This is my third colour cut-out-foto.

fun for one summer
Made by Janthemanson
Lasse, chilling at an open entry of the old abandoned main freight station. We've enjoyed one summer of illegal bmx-riding there, at self build ghetto ramps. Now the building is closed and guarded by an security and the ramps are broken.

Turn your lights on

Has been a while since my last upload but I'm quite busy at the moment...final exams are near. Maybe I'll start a project 365, or at least a project 52, when it's finished. I just like taking selfies :) Happy Bokeh Wednesday everybody!

A very early flower
Made by glaesmann
Some of you might remember this one. It's one of my earliest flower captures. Taken with my little Pentax. I've uploaded it before but now I played a bit with saturation and the colours and I like it even more.

I felt uninspired and unmotivated during the last weeks. So I took a break from photography, but today I feel like processing and uploading some pictures. So here is the first one. I hope you like it!

Blue Eyes
Made by glaesmann
I just had to think of eyelashes when I noticed the details at the seam of this jellyfish. Went to the local aquarium yesterday with a friend of mine. Was great as it wasn't so crowded like in summer.

Ok, ok, this is the last tree for a while. :) I can´t resist. The bokeh of these triplet lenses is just too nice. But there are other things that have to be bokehed. I hope that I don´t bore you all.
