Here's a photo of one of Malta's best baseball players ever, Mike Bartolo. I had faced Mike several times when I played as a starting pitcher for the Gozo Tornadoes, and many of these games turned out to be good pitching duels (Mike out-pitched me more often than not, but I cherish the moments of when I had beaten Mike and his Mellieha team). I also had the honor to be Mike's teammate at the European Qualifiers held in Belgium in 2008. Mousko Royal driven by Saviour Cutajar in a warm up stretch before his race. This is taken from the inner side of the track along side the rails with the sun from behind. It's a perfect spot for these photo but unfortunately I rarely get to stay on this side of the track. Looks bright and nice ehh!!!!!!!!! The crop is a bit tight because it is the same photo I am using for my current desktop image.

I'd heard what can only be described as a 'crescendo' of screaming AEC AV505 engines from quite a distance away before I saw these two Coles Hydra 150T 15ton capacity cranes, (and several others out of shot) unloading bulk cement bags onto various interesting lorries including a Sammut Bros. Mammoth Major at the dockside near Marsa in September 1995.
