I was in Vancouver for 2 days. I noticed the Marine building on my 1st day, but did not get close enough to see the beautiful details. On my last afternoon, I walked around the building and started shooting the details. As I came out of the cafe entrance the newly married couple were having their portait done. The Marine Building architect: McCarter Nairne & Partners One of the most prominent legacies of Vancouver's growing prosperity. During the 1930's it was the first modern skyscraper in the city and tallest until 1939. - Inspired by New York's Chrysler Building. - On completion, the Marine Building was the tallest building in the British Commonwealth; a title it held for over a decade. - In the 2005 hit sci-fi movie Fantastic Four, the Marine Building served as headquarters for the super heroes. - One of city's first public buildings to exploit art deco.

This is roughly ten photos that I stitched together in Photoshop. It took quite a while but it was fun - and definitely worth it. I can't tell you how much I love this city. Colour-correction, cropping, stitching in Photoshop.
