Beginner's Climbing Tree

Before anybody comes up with cries of Great composition, David! (which I don't think anyone in their right mind would) I will mention that I shot this from the only position possible to avoid showing a bight yellow fire hydrant that is in back of the tree. I actually did a tiny bit of iPhoto retouching to get rid of a smidge of yellow tht showed through in the triangle on the left part of the tree. I just thought this tree had a lot of personality. NO INVITES OR ICONS PLEASE


Very Wet Orange Roses

I came up out of the Genesee River gorge after an exasperating attempt to get a decent Lower Falls picture in the rain, wind and cold. But in the close-by Maplewood Rose Garden I was flabbergasted to see that there were hundreds or roses still blooming! Of course only about 5% pf them looked decent. So in spite of getting absolutely soaked for the first time in a year or so, I ran around and shot some of the few good ones. Very Wet White Roses later.
