Harper Half Portrait for text
Made by Dimitri P.
January 9 2006: Stephen Harper, leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, at a press conference at the Montreal CBC studio following the English leaders' debate in view of the Canadian federal elections. (Photo Dimitri / QuebecPress.com) Personal Note: This photo isn't staged at all. I had this framing in mind when I composed it. The politician was giving a press conference in the CBC studio before a hundred other news photographers and journalists. Basically, to get such shot, I had to anticipate the moment that the person would glance at me and JUMP on the shutter, as this glance only lasts a fraction of a second. Not an easy shot.
