Portuguese Folkloric Dance

There are many Portuguese people living and working in Paris. They recently held a folkloric dance competition in the Mairie of the 19th arrondissement. They are very nice people but generally keep to themselves. Many have been living in Paris for many years if not their whole lives but do not consider themselves Parisian or French for that matter. Many take jobs in the service industry, construction, or as conciergie in apartment buildings. The are not very keen to outside interest in their community and, though the event was open to the public, they kept a very close eye on anyone entering that was obviously not a member of the community.
