Templo de Debod/Debod Temple
Made by scaamanho
The temple was built in southern Egypt, very close to the first cataract of the Nile and to the great religious center dedicated to the goddess Isis, in Philae. In the early 2nd century BC, Adijalami, king of the country of Meroë, started its construction by building a small chapel dedicated to the gods Amon and Isis. Afterwards, different kings of the Ptolemaic dynasty added new chambers around the original nucleus. The Roman emperors Augustus, Tiberius, and perhaps Hadrian, completed its construction and decoration. more info about this temple in Wikipedia

Nikon D300 14mm F/5,6 1/125s ISO 200 +0,7EV Polarizer filter Hi you all, my best Flickr friends, Long time since I posted last picture. Sorry. I’ve been really quite busy lately. I expent Christmas in Madrid (awful weather included this time) so chances to take some good pictures were only a few. When I came back, too much work was waiting 'patiently' for me so no time for anything else until I’ve got greater part done. This picture is being taken outside of Chamartin Station Subway gate. Some of you know me. I’ve never posted a B&W picture, but in this case, I was trying to get those ‘explosive’ colours I use to show with one result ‘Mission: Impossible’. Too cloudy. Nevertheless, I liked so much the composition that I decided to give a chance to B&W for the very first time. So I’ll wait for your honest comments about it… in order to repeat eventually… :) I will catch your works up in these days so please forgive me if I’ve not been very active on your galleries lately. It’s a little bit late but as I had no chance before, Happy New Year!!! I missed you all…

Madrid. Parque del Retiro - Casita del Pescador.
Made by josemazcona

Metro-mantis

One of my passions is the Metro (or suburban train, or underground). It is a planet aside. With its shops. Its cafes. Its endless corridors. Its own music. Its own television channel. And you can find anything. All the races of the world. All the classes. All the ages. We all are one therein. If you look quietly, you will see The Life flowing thereabouts. I have taken innumerable photos therein. This one is very recent, and I have specially liked it cause the game of light and symmetries It has something that remembers me to a face, or an insect, with long legs or antennas. The Metro is a marvellous mixture(mixing) of architecture, engineering, graphical design, and alive beings.
