Neon sign of the Berlin radio station RIAS. RIAS was the abbreviation of Rundfunk im amerikanischen Sektor (sorta: radio from the American sector). This referred of course to the fact that Berlin was split up in four sectors, one for each occupying force: Soviet Union, France, Great Britain and the USA.
