There's no helping the cabbage on the top, but I've said before that one thing I like about the Fred & Ginger towers is that they feel at home in Prague. This doesn't seem quite sensible from a photo like this, where I think they do stand out (though not painfully so). I think they fit in Prague in a more general way - while the city is rich in architectural fabric of many eras, it's particularly known as a Nouveau city and as the hotbed of Czech Cubism. Gehry seems to understand that history here; one wishes he'd get to build something else in town just to see whether he does have a firm understanding of this or if it's just dumb luck combined with his early-90s style. (One wishes that Prague would be visited by contemporary architects in general, but that's a subject for another rant that I'll get to in due time...)
