Catedral de Málaga (1.528-1.782). Los malagueños la llaman la manquita porque los constructores se quedaron sin fondos y una de las dos torres se quedó sin terminar en el siglo XVIII. Called the one handed lady by the malaguenian because one of its two towers was left unfinished in the 18th century.

I, along with every other tourist in the joint, took a picture of the altar from the front. I liked this one better, though - having 'hidden' lights illuminating something in front of you always imparts that sense of being somewhere special, somewhere behind the scenes.

For an amateur like me (and everyone else there) this place was tough to balance - natural light, incandescent light of various types, harsh shadows ... but I think this one shows it off all very well.

Construction started 1528. Often called La Manquita (The One-Armed Lady), a reference to its single tower. Money for the second tower was contributed to the American Revolution.
