If there is a “main sign” at Google, this is it near building 42. The familiar Google logo is presented in an unusual colorless configuration against weathered wood. Since the Googleplex is near the San Francisco Bay, the theme is appropriate, as the wood has the look of something you might find washed up on the beach. There was a large display and projector in the party tent. It was tuned to Google Earth. The Google Sky feature was very new as of that day, so Matt checked it out. It made for a very interesting display as the night progressed. See my entry on Always Be Coding for more information.
