The old convent up the hill is finally gone. they sold it off bit by bit for years. The last thing to go was the chapel, which was carefully dismantled and installed at St John the Divine, in NYC. The building was sold to John Kerry and he turned the chapel into his dining room. I knew a convent guest who gave me a tour of the place when she was basically the last one living there.

Louisburg Square is a private square located in the Beacon Hill, Boston, Massachusetts neighborhood of Boston. It was named for the 1745 Battle of Louisburg, in which Massachusetts Militiamen sacked the French Fortress located on the site. The Greek Revival houses around the square reflect the rarefied privilege enjoyed by the 19th century upper class in Beacon Hill.
