This sign assumes you know the difference between a landing and a promenade. It also assumes you know when you can stop waiting. So of course, we waited at the top until we saw the water taxi. Then we were worried they wouldn't see us and, therefore, wouldn't stop. So we went down--apparently away from the promenade--to the landing. As the boat arrived, the captain yelled for us to back up. So we walked back to somewhere between the landing and the promenade. At least I think we did. Fortunately at the other stops the stairs going down were roped off until the taxi arrived. Those were much less confusing.

We rode the water taxi out to Fort McHenry, and this was during our second leg of the journey (they make you switch taxis midway). was kind enough to smile at me into the sun, and the boat behind was in a great position to add some perspective and action to the shot.
