Litochoro
Litochoro (Greek, Modern: Lito'xwro, Ancient/Katharevousa Lito'xwron, older form: Litochoron) is a town and municipality located in the southern part of the prefecture of Pieria, famous for beeing on the roots of Mount Olympus. The town is in a distance of around 90 km from Thessaloniki, in the west of the Thermian gulf. The first recorded mention of Litochoro is when Saint Dionysus(Greek: A'gio*s Dionu%sio*s) visited Mount Olympus.
