Dal 15 ottobre 2011 l'edificio più alto in Italia è la Torre Garibaldi, il grattacielo inserito nel nuovo centro direzionale dell'area di riorganizzazione urbana di Porta Nuova a Milano. Con l'antenna Spire del peso di 500 tonnellate di acciaio posta sulla sommità la torre raggiunge la quota di 230 metri di altezza. E' stata progettata da Cesar Pelli, disegnatore della spettacolare Petronas Tower di Kuala Lumpur, in Malesia. Ma sarà a misura d'uomo?? From the 15th October 2011 the tallest building in Italy is the Garibaldi Tower, the skyscraper included in the new administrative center of the urban redevelopment of the Porta Nuova in Milan. With the Spire Antenna weighting 500 tons of steel placed on top of the tower, it will reach the altitude of 230 meters in height. So the skyscraper over the new centre of the Lombardy Region opened at the end of January 2010 It was designed by Cesar Pelli, the architect of the spectacular Petronas Tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malesia.

Dopo la scelta da parte delle DB ed OeBB di rilevare le tracce italiane degli EC afferenti all'asse del Brennero, Le Nord in collaborazione con Nordcargo è stata scelta come partner commerciale per la gestione e la trazione dei convogli lungo le tratte di RFI. Nella foto la E189 988 ha appena fatto il suo ingresso a Milano Garibaldi al traino di un convoglio destinato alla fase del presercizio composto da una vettura Ampz delle DB ed una Z delle ferrovie austriache. (30/11/09) Le Nord and Nordcargo were chosen to become the new partner of DB and OeBB for the Eurocity train over the Brennerbahn. In this shot the E189 988 enters in Milano Porta Garibaldi with a trial run from Verona. (2009-11-30)

Milano, terminus of the Brianza interurban tram lines, seen in 1977. Via Valtellina had a three track layout with several changeovers, and somewhere in the background there was always a shunting car at hand. To the left, a Breda-built car from 1935 (with similar trailer) on the service to Milanino. Next to it, a 1928 Reggio Emilia car to Limbiate, with older, rebuilt trailers. The right track was destined for trams to Carate. In 1999, this terminus was abandoned, as the remaining interurban tram services were cut back to the city border (Affori and Niguarda, respectively)

Milano, Via Arnaldo da Brescia, 1977. This locomotore (built in 1931 by Officine Meccaniche) was by the end of the 1970s the last of its kind giving dayly service, albeit restricted to peak hours. Here it has just finished its morning duty from Carate to Milan with five trailers. Until the afternoon rush hour, this tram set will be stored in the city depot of Via Messina. The train guard is waiting with his point iron to reset the points

After removing the previous fiber-cement (eternit) coloured covering, affected by poor insulation and sun-resistance performance, CMR Space Architects designed a multi-tilted glass recladding to bring both towers into the 21st century. Live @ Alcatraz, Milano 2° concerto dell'anno in compagnia della mia mitica Ginouse! Pienone per Nelly, ma certa gente nn stava molto bene di testa (vedi Jacky e Anna -> però dai due personaggi alla fine!) Voce fantastica, scenografia diciamo inesistente (d'altronde all'Alcatraz lo spazio e appena sufficiente), lei è bellissima, veramente una FIGA!
