This photo shows the compound that was my dormitory while abroad in South Africa. Originally built as low-income housing under the Apartheid regime, Liesbeeck Gardens was surprisingly homey once you warmed up to it. This photo was taken looking out of my dorm on the ground floor into the courtyard during a rain storm.
