The National theatre is Norway’s largest theatre which opened in 1899. It houses three permanent stages under one roof, with a fourth auxiliary one located in Torshov, Oslo’s new, trendy East End. The main building, designed by architect Henrik Bull, is situated in the centre of Oslo, close to the Royal Castle and the old University. Official website is here.
