Norwegian Jade docked at Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain. Norwegian Jade is the second of NCL's four Jewel Class ships. She was preceded in 2005 by Norwegian Jewel, then followed in 2006 by Norwegian Pearl, and in 2007 by Norwegian Gem. Each ship has unique amenities, but has a similar exterior and interior design. Norwegian Jade has a similar exterior appearance to NCL's Libra Class ships, the Norwegian Star, which entered service in 2001, and the Norwegian Dawn, which entered service in 2002. The interior design and amenities, however, are significantly different and merit Norwegian Jade having a Jewel Class designation. When built, the ship comprised the third in a series of U.S. flagged cruise ships operated by NCL America for the Hawaii market. At a cost of over half a billion U.S. dollars, the Pride of Hawaii was the largest and most expensive U.S. flagged passenger ship ever built. Her design was originally planned to be a sister ship to the Pride of America, utilizing parts from the Northrop Grumman Shipyard and the failed Project America series of ships. Later NCL America decided that it would be better to enlarge the Pride of Hawaii and make her a sister ship to the Norwegian Jewel. After delivery to NCL, she joined the Pride of America and Pride of Aloha as the final ship in the NCL America fleet. On April 11, 2007 NCL announced that Pride of Hawaii would be withdrawn from the Hawaiian market in February, 2008 and subsequently redeployed to Europe for the summer. In a press release, NCL's CEO, Colin Veitch, cited substantial 2006 losses that had been caused by downward pricing pressure in the Hawaii market following the addition of Pride of Hawaii to the fleet, as well as an increase in the amount of foreign flagged competition entering the Hawaii market from the west coast as the reason for the vessels redeployment. NCL did not commit to sending Pride of Hawaii back to Hawaii until the other NCL America vessels reach an acceptable level of profitability. (Wikipedia)

Applied a Texture to a close-up shot of the Rigging on the Tall Sailing Ship Danmark docked in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain. DANMARK is a steel-hulled, three-masted and full-rigged ship. It was build as a training ship in 1933 at Nakskov Shipyard in Denmark. Since then it has provided basic training of young people seeking careers at sea. The ship is the property of the Kingdom of Denmark and has its home base there. It is capable of sailing all over the world, however in the recent years it has only been sailing in European waters. On special occasions it crosses the Atlantic Ocean to visit the USA, where the ship stayed during WWII and provided training of US cadets.

She was built in Kiel in 1931 as a private yatch, she is considered one of the most luxurious yachts that has existed in the world. Fue el barco privado del Dictador Trujillo (Santo Domingo). The cool infants are dressed up in fancy dresses of a Disney princess, an Elf Queen, an Indian Hunter and the magic fairy kids of color from the kinder garden of a robotic TV babysitter. This beautiful picture was created during the children's carnival where kids were dressed up in Halloween clothing for girls, and boys. epSos.de did have as much fun watching the street festival party as the parents did by dressing up their offspring in this funny outfits.

Situado frente a la catedral, en el lado poniente de la “plaza mayor”, el edificio, de planta rectangular, tiene cinco pisos, incluyendo el entresuelo y un ático de más reciente construcción. Al patio se accede desde la galería baja por una puerta lateral; por tanto, el edificio no responde al tipo palacial con acceso directo central al mismo, porque parece que fue más importante el papel de la escalera en su estructura espacial.

El Campeonato de surf Islas Canarias Santa Pro Junior en la playa de La Cicer, en Las Canteras. Las Palmas de Gran canaria. Es el evento n º 3 de 7 en la serie Pro Junior de la ASP Europea Masculina comenzó el primer día con los mejores de surferos de Europa sub-21. Los atletas lo dieron todo en olas de 1 metro con fuertes vientos del norte.

El barrio de Vegueta fue declarado; Conjunto Histórico Artístico Nacional. Vegueta fue el núcleo de la ciudad. El barrio debe su nombre a la Vega que se extendía por los alrededores del Real de las Tres Palmas, llamada La Vegueta de Santa Ana. Desde ese entonces sería el centro de la vida política, religiosa y administrativa de la isla.
