Downtown Chicago

Downtown Chicago: I spent early afternoon in Evanston shooting action shots of Feild Hockey players (those shots can be found ). Then I spent hours in downtown around the Millennium and Grant park areas. Tired and well past sunset, I was on my way from Grant park to the El when I crossed a the bridge over the train tracks of the Purple Line (I think). The sight caught my eye and I didn't waste anytime propping up my tripod and camera. Took two exposures of different times. This one was clearly the better one. Only later when I was examining the photo on the computer did I notice the lights on the 2nd building from the right which had been switched on to sayThe Blues. (There was a blues festival going on in Grant Park that day.) I have another version of this same photo jazzed up in Adobe. You can see it HERE

As construction continues, Aqua's shape and form are beginning to reveal themselves. Aqua is a new skyscraper in downtown Chicago and looks like it is going to become one of my favorite buildings to shoot. Take a closer look.
