Lake Street Bridge
The Lake Street Bridge is a reinforced concrete arch bridge that spans the Mississippi River between Minneapolis, Minnesota and St. Paul, Minnesota. It is oriented East-West and connects Lake Street in Minneapolis to Marshall Avenue in St. Paul. St. Paul residents often refer to it as the Marshall Avenue Bridge. A craigslist transaction and a few bucks later, I finally feel like a true Macalester college student with my own cheap bike. It could use a little tuning up on the back breaks, and I absolutely need to replace the bike seat with something a little softer, but it feels great to be back on two wheels again. To celebrate my purchase, I rode from Macalester both to the Saint Paul farmers market and then cross town to the Minneapolis Mill City Museum. I'll post the other pictures eventually, I guess. If you live in Minneapolis, this was taken on the Lake Street bridge. If you live in Saint Paul, this was taken on the Marshall bridge... it's a little up in the air I guess.
